Andre Harris, the former Hillcrest Prep standout, delivered a strong performance with 21 points, seven rebounds and four assists for the Western New Mexico Mustangs in their 87-83 loss to the Lubbock Christian Chaparrals on Thursday, Feb. 26.
The 6-foot-8 junior forward played all 40 minutes in the effort.
Several other former Lee Network AZ athletes also took the court for the Mustangs on Thursday. Carson Kelly, Isaiah Broady, NoNo Brown and Tanner Poeschl all appeared in the matchup.
Kelly, a 5-foot-10 senior guard from Chandler High School, finished with 11 points and three rebounds in 27 minutes.
Broady, a 6-foot-8 junior guard from AZ Compass Prep School, added four points, one rebound and one steal in 14 minutes.
Brown, a 5-foot-11 freshman guard from Perry High School, recorded seven points, six rebounds and one steal in 14 minutes.
Poeschl, a 6-foot-8 junior forward from Skyline High School, chipped in two points, one rebound and one block over 11 minutes.
Next, the Mustangs are scheduled to face Midwestern State on the road at 3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 28.
