Rep. Andy Biggs, U.S. Congressman representing Arizona’s 5th district since 2017, shared a series of posts on December 18, 2025, addressing healthcare policy, political leadership in California, and child online safety legislation.

In his first post on December 18, Biggs criticized the Affordable Care Act and outlined Republican plans for healthcare reform. He wrote: “The failed Unaffordable Care Act has made our healthcare too expensive—and Democrats are entirely to blame. The @HouseGOP’s healthcare plan will lower premiums and restore healthcare freedom. Republicans will fix what Democrats broke!”

Later that day, Biggs commented on California’s governance and national leadership by contrasting President Trump with Governor Gavin Newsom. On December 18 he posted: “A governor who reduces leadership to office sarcasm explains a lot about California’s problems. President Trump leads from the White House. Gavin Newsom snarks from the sidelines.”

That same afternoon, Biggs announced progress on legislation aimed at protecting children online. In his post dated December 18 he stated: ” My bill strengthening protections for children online just passed unanimously out of the Judiciary Committee. I’m grateful for the collaboration with the White House and the FBI, and I’m thankful to have support from my colleagues.”

Biggs has served as Arizona’s representative in Congress since replacing Richard Miranda in 2017 and previously held office in the Arizona Senate from 2013 to 2017. Born in Tucson in 1958 and currently residing in Gilbert, Biggs holds degrees from Brigham Young University (BA) and the University of Arizona (JD).
