Rep. Andy Biggs, U.S. Congressman representing Arizona’s 5th district since 2017, posted a series of tweets on March 30, 2026, addressing issues ranging from public safety to water negotiations and military funding.

In his first tweet at 18:42 UTC, Biggs expressed gratitude toward former President Donald Trump and former Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi for their roles in law enforcement efforts. He wrote, “Thank you, President @realDonaldTrump and @AGPamBondi, for helping to make our state and nation safer. Our communities are grateful for your efforts to enforce America’s laws and hold lawbreakers accountable for their illicit actions.”

An hour later at 19:42 UTC, Biggs highlighted the importance of Yuma in ongoing Colorado River negotiations. He stated, “America does need Yuma. That’s why, in part, I’m working to bring local, state, and federal stakeholders to the table to ensure a better Colorado River deal for Arizona. We cannot afford to end up on the wrong side of these negotiations.”

Later that evening at 21:23 UTC, Biggs addressed military funding amid a government shutdown dispute. He tweeted, “Those serving our nation in defense of its homeland should receive payment for their efforts.

Democrats have held this funding hostage over their politically motivated shutdown. President @realDonaldTrump is taking action to ensure that some of these hard-working men and women”

Biggs has represented Arizona’s 5th District in Congress since replacing Richard Miranda in 2017 and previously served in the Arizona Senate from 2013 to 2017. Born in Tucson in 1958 and currently residing in Gilbert, he holds degrees from Brigham Young University (BA) and the University of Arizona (JD).
