Rep. Andy Biggs, U.S. Congressman representing Arizona’s 5th district since 2017, addressed a range of issues in a series of posts on January 12, 2026.

In a post early that day, Biggs stated, “Radical Islam has no place in America. Defend the West.” (January 12, 2026). Later the same day, he commented on his previous statement with another post: “A shame this even has to be said.” (January 12, 2026).

Later in the afternoon, Biggs shifted focus to online safety for children. He wrote: “The internet has become a hunting ground for predators who use coercion and manipulation to destroy children’s lives. I’ve worked with the @WhiteHouse and @FBI on legislation to combat this crisis. My CSAFE Act is up for a vote in the House, and I look forward to its passage.” (January 12, 2026).

Biggs has represented Arizona’s 5th District since replacing Richard Miranda in Congress in 2017. Prior to his tenure in Congress, he served in the Arizona Senate from 2013 to 2017. Born in Tucson in 1958 and currently residing in Gilbert at age 64, Biggs graduated from Brigham Young University with a BA and earned his JD from the University of Arizona.
