Rep. Andy Biggs, a U.S. Congressman representing Arizona’s 5th district since 2017, made several statements on social media between September 13 and September 14, 2025, addressing issues related to violence and political rhetoric in the United States.

On September 13, Biggs posted: “Don’t fall for the lie that Charlie’s assassin was a ‘fellow conservative.’ It’s past time to have a serious discussion about trans terrorism in this country.”

The following day, on September 14, he commented further: “It’s not the guns. It’s violent rhetoric from the radical Left.”

Later that same day, Biggs added another statement reflecting on foundational American principles: “I am grateful to live in a country whose founders recognized that rights are given by God, not the government.”

Andy Biggs has represented Arizona’s 5th Congressional District since succeeding Richard Miranda in 2017. Prior to his tenure in Congress, he served in the Arizona Senate from 2013 to 2017. Born in Tucson in 1958 and currently residing in Gilbert, Biggs holds degrees from Brigham Young University (BA) and the University of Arizona (JD).
