Rep. Andy Biggs, a U.S. Congressman representing Arizona’s 5th district since 2017, posted a series of tweets on October 18, 2025, addressing recent developments in education policy and public protests.

In his first tweet at 2:57 a.m. UTC, Biggs expressed support for the current Education Secretary, stating, “.@POTUS couldn’t have picked a better Education Secretary. Thank you for your commitment to America First priorities, @EDSecMcMahon! “

Later that morning at 3:20 a.m. UTC, Biggs commented on nationwide protests reportedly sponsored by teachers unions: “Teachers unions are sponsoring No Kings protests—more aptly ‘I Hate America’ rallies—across the country. I suppose they should brush up on grammar instead of protesting a nonexistent king.”

In another post at 4:05 p.m. UTC the same day, he remarked on patriotic symbolism in attire: “Or—hear me out—he’s wearing a tie with the colors of the American flag…”

Biggs has served in Congress since replacing Richard Miranda in 2017 and previously held office in the Arizona Senate from 2013 to 2017. He was born in Tucson in 1958 and currently resides in Gilbert. Biggs holds degrees from Brigham Young University and the University of Arizona.
