Rep. Andy Biggs, U.S. Congressman representing Arizona’s 5th district since 2017, addressed a range of issues in a series of posts on September 5, 2025.

In an early morning post, Biggs emphasized his perspective on individual rights: “In case anyone needs reminding: Your rights are God-given, not government-given. cc: @timkaine” (September 5, 2025).

Later that day, he commented on a news story involving a fatal accident and immigration status: “This isn’t a religious discrimination issue. An illegal alien—who never should have been issued a driver’s license—was driving recklessly and killed a family. Shame on you, @AP.” (September 5, 2025).

That evening, Biggs marked the anniversary of the House Freedom Caucus: “This week, we celebrated ten years of the House @FreedomCaucus. Since its creation in 2015, HFC has fought against the DC Cartel and works to uphold our country’s founding principles. HFC remains President @realDonaldTrump’s top ally in Congress! “ (September 5, 2025).

Biggs has served as Arizona’s representative for the 5th District since replacing Richard Miranda in 2017. Before joining Congress, he was part of the Arizona Senate from 2013 to 2017. Born in Tucson in 1958 and currently residing in Gilbert at age 64, Biggs holds degrees from Brigham Young University and the University of Arizona.
