Rep. Andy Biggs, a U.S. Congressman representing Arizona’s 5th district since 2017, has posted several statements on social media addressing recent incidents involving law enforcement and U.S. foreign policy.
On January 7, 2026, Biggs commented on an event involving Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers, stating: “This is what happens when Democrats encourage violence against @ICEgov. I stand with our brave law enforcement officers as they work tirelessly to secure our homeland. I’m relieved to hear that the injured officers are expected to make a full recovery.”
The following day, January 8, he addressed the United States’ involvement in international organizations: “Thank you, Mr. President! The U.S. should not be part of corrupt, international organizations that undermine our sovereignty. Congress should immediately codify President Trump’s priorities and pass my WHO Withdrawal Act.”
Later on January 8, Biggs referenced an incident in Minneapolis involving law enforcement: “The incident in Minneapolis is a direct result of Democrats’ continued demonization of agents who are simply enforcing the law. Stop inciting violence against law enforcement.”
Biggs has represented Arizona’s 5th District since replacing Richard Miranda in 2017 and previously served in the Arizona Senate from 2013 to 2017. Born in Tucson in 1958 and currently residing in Gilbert, Biggs holds degrees from Brigham Young University and the University of Arizona.
