Rep. Andy Biggs, U.S. Congressman representing Arizona’s 5th district since 2017, posted a series of tweets between September 30 and October 1, 2025, criticizing Democratic leadership and actions by federal agencies.

On September 30, Biggs posted “Schumer’s Shutdown.” On the same topic later that evening, he tweeted “Shameful.” on October 1.

Later on October 1, Biggs addressed allegations against President Joe Biden and the FBI: “Joe Biden weaponized the FBI against his political opponents—including my friend @RepScottPerry. I am grateful for new leadership under President @realDonaldTrump and @FBIDirectorKash Patel. We must work to ensure such targeting can never happen again.”

Biggs has represented Arizona’s 5th District in Congress since replacing Richard Miranda in 2017. Prior to his tenure in Congress, he served in the Arizona Senate from 2013 to 2017. Born in Tucson in 1958, Biggs is currently a resident of Gilbert. He holds a BA from Brigham Young University (1982) and a JD from the University of Arizona (1984).
