Rep. Andy Biggs, who represents Arizona’s 5th district in the U.S. Congress, recently shared a series of updates on social media regarding federal policy changes, tributes to fallen servicemembers, and local industry visits.
On August 26, 2025, Biggs posted about executive action taken by former President Trump: “President Trump signed an EO ending cashless bail in D.C. Common sense is back! I’ve introduced the Keep Offenders Off Our Streets Act to codify his effort. Read it here https://t.co/JuOlntXJmT https://t.co/pmar2YSh0l”.
Later that day, he marked the anniversary of the deaths of American servicemembers during the Afghanistan withdrawal: “Four years ago, thirteen of our American servicemembers gave their lives during the Biden administration’s disastrous Afghanistan withdrawal. We will never forget their sacrifices, and we join their Gold Star Families in mourning. https://t.co/QvoQA6scKy”.
On August 27, Biggs highlighted meetings with local leaders and visits to research facilities in Arizona: “My staff and I enjoyed visiting industry leaders in Arizona. @CBPAMO’s Aerostat Radar Site at Fort Huachuca monitors our southern border to protect it from invasion. @uarizona’s San Xavier Mine and Biosphere 2 are research sites leading the way in American critical mineral https://t.co/bnaxT066iQ”.
Biggs has represented Arizona’s 5th district since 2017 after serving four years in the state senate. Born in Tucson in 1958 and currently residing in Gilbert, he holds degrees from Brigham Young University and the University of Arizona.
