Rep. Andy Biggs, U.S. Congressman representing Arizona’s 5th district since 2017, posted a series of tweets in early January 2026 expressing his views on socialism and outlining the priorities for Congress under the America First Agenda.

On January 5, 2026, Biggs stated, “Socialism doesn’t work.”

The following day, he referenced former President Donald Trump’s administration and called for Congressional action: “President Trump and his Administration worked at breakneck speed in 2025 to deliver the America First Agenda. Congress must be ready to match the pace in 2026. My @freedomcaucus colleagues and I have a detailed roadmap to do just that.” In a subsequent tweet posted moments later, Biggs added, “More”, linking to additional information.

Biggs has served as a member of the U.S. House of Representatives for Arizona’s 5th District since succeeding Richard Miranda in 2017. Before his tenure in Congress, he was a member of the Arizona Senate from 2013 to 2017. Born in Tucson in 1958 and currently residing in Gilbert, Biggs holds degrees from Brigham Young University (BA) and the University of Arizona (JD).
