Rep. Andy Biggs, who represents Arizona’s 5th district in the U.S. Congress, recently used his social media platform to highlight public health and agricultural issues relevant to Arizona.

On April 1, 2026, Biggs posted about substance abuse awareness: “It’s important for our communities to be aware of emerging substances that are causing harm to individuals around Arizona. This is an informative piece on 7-OH and where it is being sold. Please pass the information along to friends and loved ones.”

Later the same day, he expressed appreciation for local healthcare workers, stating: “Thank you, Phoenix Children’s Hospital, for the dedicated work on behalf of our young boys and girls.”

In a third post from April 1, 2026, Biggs addressed water resource management and agriculture: “Arizona is critical to the nation’s food supply. It’s crucial that our state ends up with a Colorado River deal that ensures an uninterrupted and vibrant source of produce for America.”

Biggs has represented Arizona’s 5th district in Congress since 2017 after serving in the Arizona Senate from 2013 to 2017. He was born in Tucson in 1958 and currently resides in Gilbert. Biggs graduated from Brigham Young University with a BA in 1982 before earning his JD from the University of Arizona in 1984.
