U.S. Representative Andy Biggs, who serves Arizona’s 5th district in Congress, has taken to social media to defend the Republican Party’s approach to health care reform and counter claims from political opponents regarding policy proposals.

On December 8, 2025, Biggs posted: “Democrats and the media push one tired talking point: ‘Republicans have no plan.’ That couldn’t be further from the truth. The reality is that Republicans have done more policy work on real reform than Democrats ever have or will.”

He continued his thread by highlighting specific legislative efforts supported by fellow Republican lawmakers. On the same date, he wrote: “@SenRickScott and @RepPfluger’s More Affordable Care Act strengthens price transparency and delivers patient-controlled funding to lower premiums.” In another tweet, Biggs stated: “@RepGregSteube’s ACCESS Act redirects federal support to families instead of insurance companies and expands competition across state lines.”

Biggs has represented Arizona’s 5th District in Congress since 2017 after succeeding Richard Miranda. Before his tenure in the U.S. House of Representatives, he served in the Arizona Senate from 2013 to 2017. Born in Tucson in 1958, Biggs currently resides in Gilbert. He holds a BA from Brigham Young University (1982) and a JD from the University of Arizona (1984).
