Rep. Andy Biggs, who represents Arizona’s 5th district in the U.S. Congress, recently posted a series of tweets addressing national politics and commemorative observances.
On October 11, 2025, Biggs wrote, “Thank you @POTUS! While Chuck Schumer, @SenMarkKelly, and @SenRubenGallego play politics, President Trump is working overtime to put Americans first.”
Three days later, on October 14, 2025, Biggs recognized Columbus Day in a post stating, “Today we recognize and celebrate the legacy of renowned world explorer Christopher Columbus. The Left tried to cancel Columbus Day, but patriots stand firm in honoring our past and fighting for our future. May we all learn from his courage and resolve.”
On the same day, Biggs expressed support for former President Trump in another tweet: “President Trump is the President of PEACE. Thank you @POTUS!”
Biggs has served as the U.S. Representative for Arizona’s 5th District since 2017, succeeding Richard Miranda. Prior to his tenure in Congress, he was a member of the Arizona Senate from 2013 to 2017. Born in Tucson in 1958, Biggs is currently 64 years old and resides in Gilbert. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Brigham Young University (1982) and a Juris Doctor from the University of Arizona (1984).
