U.S. Congressman Andy Biggs, who represents Arizona’s 5th district, posted a series of messages on January 9, 2026, expressing support for law enforcement officers and commenting on diplomatic developments in Northeast Asia.

In his first post at 18:19 UTC, Biggs wrote, “May God protect our brave law enforcement officers.”

Later that day, at 21:46 UTC, he marked National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day with a message stating, “On National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day, we honor the men and women who put their lives on the line for our communities each and every day. I stand in strong support of our local, state, and federal LEOs. Thank you all for your service.”

At 22:49 UTC on the same day, Biggs addressed international relations in Northeast Asia by posting, “I am gratified that the leaders of America’s very important allies in Northeast Asia, Japan and South Korea, will be holding a summit in the beautiful, historic Japanese city of Nara next week. Their cooperation and collaboration is vital to regional and global stability and”

Andy Biggs has served as a member of the U.S. Congress since 2017 after replacing Richard Miranda. He previously held office in the Arizona Senate from 2013 to 2017. Born in Tucson in 1958 and currently residing in Gilbert at age 64, Biggs graduated from Brigham Young University with a BA before earning his JD from the University of Arizona.
