U.S. Congressman Andy Biggs, who represents Arizona’s 5th district, marked the anniversary of the September 11 attacks and commented on the death of a conservative leader in a series of posts on September 11, 2025.
In his first post at 13:22 UTC, Biggs wrote, “24 years ago, we witnessed one of the darkest days in American history. No matter how oppressive the evil forces standing against us, the American spirit will never die. We will fight with every fiber of our being to ensure that it never happens again. Let freedom ring.”
Later that day at 14:54 UTC, he continued his remembrance by stating, “On the 24th anniversary of the horrific 9/11/01 terror attacks, we remember the nearly 3,000 souls tragically lost and honor the first responders who willingly walked into danger. We are thankful for our police, firefighters, paramedics, and all who keep our communities safe.”
At 17:28 UTC on the same day, Biggs turned to another topic and addressed the death of Charlie Kirk: “Charlie Kirk is a modern Christian martyr. He loved God, family, and country. Take the time to mourn and grieve the tremendous friend and leader we lost. But in the immortal words of President Donald J. Trump after the attempt on his life, we must ‘Fight, fight, fight!'”
Biggs has served as a U.S. Representative for Arizona’s 5th District since 2017 after replacing Richard Miranda in Congress. Prior to this role in Congress, he served in the Arizona Senate from 2013 to 2017. Born in Tucson in 1958 and currently residing in Gilbert at age 64, Biggs graduated from Brigham Young University with a BA in 1982 before earning his JD from the University of Arizona two years later.
