The Chandler City Council has approved professional services and construction agreements for the Lindsay Road Improvement project during its meeting on January 22. The planned improvements will add an extra travel lane in both northbound and southbound directions between Ocotillo Road and Hunt Highway.
In addition to the new lanes, the project will feature bike lanes, a raised landscaped median, curbs, gutters, sidewalks, upgrades compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act, traffic signal enhancements, streetlights, traffic signal interconnects, storm drainage systems, irrigation work, block walls, and utility upgrades. Coordination with Salt River Project (SRP) is also part of the plan to relocate and underground SRP distribution lines.
Construction is scheduled to start in spring 2026. The city awarded contracts for the project to Consultant Engineering, Inc., Achen-Gardner Construction, LLC, and Kimley Horn and Associates, Inc.
