The City of Chandler will hold a public event to showcase its General Plan Update through an immersive experience. The event, which features a mobile immersion lab, is scheduled for Tuesday, Oct. 28 at SoHo63 in downtown Chandler. The lab will be open from 10:30 a.m. until the last showing at 6:30 p.m., and attendees can drop in at any time during those hours.

Participants will use 3D technology to view possible growth and design scenarios for Chandler, which have been developed based on community feedback collected over recent months. Lauren Schumann, principal planner for the City of Chandler, said, “This experience brings planning off the page and into real life. It’s an engaging way for our community to see how their feedback directly influences the vision for Chandler’s next decade.”

The event is free and open to all ages. Refreshments will be provided by SanTan Brewing Company.

Chandler’s General Plan acts as a long-term guide for decisions related to land use, housing, transportation, and open space. Residents are encouraged to review and comment on the current draft of the plan until Dec. 1.

More information about the General Plan Update can be found at Chandler General Plan or by contacting Lauren Schumann at 480-782-3156.
