The City of Chandler’s Connection & Impact Division has announced a new leadership program for young adults, in collaboration with Chandler-Gilbert Community College and the Chandler Unified School District. The LEAD Chandler: Emerging Leaders Cohort is scheduled for February 20 and 21, 2026.

This two-day program targets individuals aged 17 to 24 who either live, work, or attend school in Chandler. The initiative follows the Level Up Conference held on October 18 and aims to build on its success by offering hands-on workshops, team challenges, and practical experiences. Participants will focus on skills such as communication, collaboration, and decision-making.

Topics for the cohort include civic engagement, ethical leadership, and emotional intelligence. Organizers say attendees will have opportunities to connect with local nonprofits, business leaders, and community members involved in positive change. According to the announcement: “Attendees will be able to connect with local nonprofits, business leaders and community changemakers, leaving participants inspired, empowered and ready to make a positive impact in their schools, workplaces and communities.”

The event will take place at the Pecos Campus of Chandler-Gilbert Community College located at 2626 E. Pecos Road in Chandler. Sessions are planned from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday and from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday. Meals will be provided during both days.

Applications are open until December 5; only thirty participants will be selected for the program. More information about the application process can be found by visiting LEAD Chandler.
