Chandler Municipal Court welcomed students from Arizona College Prep Middle School for an educational program focused on the rule of law and the justice system, according to a May 5 announcement.
The event was part of Law Day, observed on May 1, and included interactive activities designed to help students understand the judiciary and its partners in justice. The initiative is intended to foster civic awareness and give young people firsthand experience with how local justice is administered.
Presiding Judge Skupin said, “Providing students with the opportunity to connect directly with members of the justice system is an important step in building understanding, trust, and appreciation for the rule of law. We are grateful to Arizona College Prep Middle School for its partnership in supporting this educational mission.”
Chandler serves as a community hub by hosting family festivals and events that attract visitors, according to the official history page. Dr. A.J. Chandler Park remains a central gathering place surrounded by shops and historic sites. The city’s borders have expanded over time to accommodate growth, with its population reaching over 240,000 by recent accounts.
