The City of Chandler’s Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Division has opened its annual Creative Expression Competition for entries. The 2025 theme is “Rooted in Hope: 250 Years of Dreams, Journeys and New Beginnings.” Students from kindergarten through 12th grade who live in or attend school in Chandler are eligible to participate by submitting original visual or written works.

Submissions will be accepted until 5 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 3. Guidelines and judging criteria can be found online at the Creative Expression website. All entries must be submitted in person at designated Chandler Public Library locations with a completed entry form, which will be available at each drop-off site.

Over the past twenty years, thousands of students have taken part in this contest. All submissions will be displayed throughout December at Chandler Public Libraries. Winners will receive recognition on stage during the city’s 31st annual Chandler Multicultural Festival scheduled for Jan. 17, 2026.

For further details about the competition, Adrianna Erickson from the city’s Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Division can be contacted at 480-782-2224.
