Registered voters in Chandler are being reminded to participate in the upcoming Special Election by returning their ballots by mail using the provided affidavit envelope. All ballots must be received by 7 p.m. on Election Day, Tuesday, Nov. 4. Maricopa County officials recommend mailing signed and sealed ballots before Tuesday, Oct. 28, to ensure they arrive on time.
Ballots that arrive after Nov. 4 will not be counted, regardless of postmark date. Voters also have the option to drop off their completed ballots at three designated Chandler locations starting Wednesday, Oct. 8. These dropbox sites will operate from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, and will extend hours from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Election Day.
Replacement ballots can be obtained at these same locations from Monday, Oct. 27 through Friday, Oct. 31, as well as Monday, Nov. 3, for those whose original ballot was spoiled or not received.
Voters who need a replacement ballot by mail must request one by calling Maricopa County Elections at 602-506-1511 no later than 5 p.m., Friday, Oct. 24.
“This Special Election is conducted as a ballot-by-mail election,” according to city officials. “Each registered voter was sent a ballot by mail and a publicity pamphlet in early October.” The publicity pamphlet can also be viewed online at Chandler Special Election.
