Chandler’s Golden Neighbors program schedules two November events for seniors

Chandler’s Golden Neighbors program will hold two events in November aimed at supporting local seniors. The first event, organized in partnership with Hospice of the Valley, will focus on strategies for making the most out of doctor’s appointments. Experts from the nonprofit will lead the discussion.

The session is scheduled for Thursday, Nov. 13, from 9:30 to 11 a.m. at the ASU Chandler Innovation Center at 249 E. Chicago St. A light breakfast will be available. Those interested in attending can RSVP by calling the city’s Neighborhood Programs Office at 480-782-4362 or through the Golden Neighbors website.

A second event, the Golden Neighbors Thank-Full event, will take place on Thursday, Nov. 20, from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Seniors are invited to stop by the Chandler City Hall Parking Garage at 240 S. Washington St. to pick up free household and personal hygiene items.
