The City of Chandler has scheduled a Special Election for Tuesday, Nov. 4. This election will be conducted by mail and will ask voters to decide whether the city should issue general obligation bonds over time to support the Capital Improvement Plan.

According to city officials, the proposed bonds would fund several projects aimed at updating aging infrastructure. These projects include improvements to parks and recreational facilities, upgrades to public safety equipment and buildings, and street enhancements. Voters will also consider two charter amendment propositions.

“The deadline to register to vote in the Special Election is Monday, Oct. 6,” city officials stated.

Chandler residents with an Arizona driver’s license or identification card can register or update their voter registration online through Service Arizona or via Maricopa County Elections’ website.

“For additional questions about voter registration, contact Maricopa County Elections at 602-506-1511,” officials said.

More information about the upcoming Special Election is available on the city’s websites for Chandler Bond Election and Charter Amendment.
