Friends of Chandler Public Library has approved a $100,000 investment to support the Chandler Public Library for the 2025-2026 fiscal year. The nonprofit organization helps fund programming at all four library branches, focusing on early literacy, adult learning, teen engagement, and cultural events.
The annual gift is funded through donations, corporate sponsorships, and proceeds from used book sales at the Downtown and Sunset Libraries. These resources help provide access to educational materials and programs for residents.
“The generosity of the Friends is seen throughout the library and its programs,” said Tara Anglin, development and engagement program manager. “Their support inspires lifelong learning in our community through digital resources, engaging activities and reading programs.”
This year’s funding will go toward various initiatives across CPL branches. These include early childhood reading programs, adult literacy classes, a hands-on creativity space called the Makery, the “Our Stories” local history speaker series, recognition for teen volunteers through the Teen Advisory Council, and digital tools such as LinkedIn Learning for professional development.
Community members can contribute by purchasing used books at select library locations or making online donations throughout the year via Friends of Chandler Public Library. Additional information about available programs can be found by calling 480-782-2800 or visiting Chandler Public Library.
