The Gilbert Chamber Foundation has announced its Career Shadowing and Mentoring Program for spring 2026, aimed at students interested in exploring career options and gaining practical experience. The program is set to begin with a general orientation on January 28, 2026, and will conclude with a closing ceremony on May 14, 2026. The portion of the program involving Banner Health will have different dates.

Participants are required to complete between 16 and 20 hours of career shadowing during the spring cycle. Students will be paired with mentors in their fields of interest to gain firsthand knowledge about various industries. The program is designed to help students explore potential career paths before making decisions about college or training programs, as well as to develop professional skills through real-world exposure.

The foundation is also seeking professionals willing to serve as mentors. Those interested can contact Elaine Kessler at elaine@gilbertchamber.com for further details. According to the foundation, mentoring provides opportunities for professionals to give back by helping shape future talent, enhance leadership skills, expand networks within the community, gain new perspectives from students, and increase organizational visibility in workforce development efforts.

“We’d love to have you join us as a mentor! Please reach out to Elaine Kessler at elaine@gilbertchamber.com for more information on how you can make a lasting impact,” states the organization.

The initiative aims not only to benefit students but also local businesses by fostering connections between experienced professionals and emerging talent in Gilbert.
