The Gilbert Chamber of Commerce Foundation has opened its scholarship application process for students planning to attend accredited post-secondary institutions. The scholarships are available to a broad group, including those entering trade or vocational schools, as well as students pursuing two- or four-year degree programs.

Applicants must have an unweighted GPA of at least 2.7 and be actively involved in the Gilbert community through volunteer work, leadership roles, or civic initiatives. Non-traditional students, such as those focused on obtaining a GED, are also encouraged to apply.

Applications are due by February 23rd. Required materials include proof of GPA via transcripts and documentation of community involvement, along with details about post-secondary plans. The application form is available online on the Gilbert Chamber website.

According to the Foundation, “The Foundation’s mission is to promote workforce readiness, civic engagement, and leadership development in Gilbert.” The scholarships aim to reduce financial barriers for students enrolled in vocational, two-year, or four-year programs.

Elaine Kessler is listed as the contact for questions regarding the application process. She can be reached by email at elaine@gilbertchamber.com or by phone at (480) 941‑6321.

The Foundation emphasizes that investing in education helps students build stronger career foundations and contribute meaningfully to the local community. Its approach includes not only scholarships but also mentorship opportunities and programs focused on career exploration and soft-skills development.

“If you—or someone you know—is aiming to pursue further education in any form and meets the GPA and community engagement criteria, this scholarship is an excellent opportunity to receive financial support. With the application deadline approaching on February 23rd, now’s the time to start gathering your materials and submitting your application,” according to information provided by the Foundation.

More information about eligibility requirements and how to apply can be found on the Gilbert Chamber Scholarship Application page.
