Gilbert Chamber opens nominations for annual community excellence awards

The Gilbert Chamber of Commerce, along with several local partners, has opened nominations for the 29th Annual Gilbert Community Excellence Awards. The event recognizes individuals and organizations that have contributed to the community in areas such as business, education, civic leadership, and volunteer work.

Partnering organizations include Chandler-Gilbert Community College, Gilbert Independent/Independent Newsmedia, Gilbert Public Schools, Higley Unified School District, and the Town of Gilbert. Each partner will present awards in specific categories. Chandler-Gilbert Community College, Gilbert Public Schools, and Higley Unified School District will each offer Education Awards. The Gilbert Chamber of Commerce will present Business Awards. Community Awards will be given by the Gilbert Independent/Independent Newsmedia, while the Town of Gilbert will provide Municipal Awards.

According to the press release: “This annual Signature Event honors individuals and organizations making a lasting impact in business, education, civic leadership, and volunteerism.”

Nominations can be submitted online at gilbertaz.com/gcea-nomination-form until August 28, 2025. Nominees should be described with specific examples of their contributions to the community.

Award recipients will be recognized at an event sponsored by Colair Beauty Lounge and Med Spa on November 12, 2025. The ceremony is scheduled to take place at the DoubleTree by Hilton Phoenix-Gilbert.
