Karrin Taylor Robson, a candidate for Governor of Arizona, has said her commitment to prioritizing public safety by supporting law enforcement, holding criminals accountable, and ensuring officers have the necessary resources. This statement was made on the social media platform X.

“As Governor, I will always back the blue, hold criminals accountable,” said Karrin Margaret Taylor Robson. “make sure law enforcement has the tools, training, and respect they deserve. Every day, our officers put their lives on the line to protect our families and our communities.”

According to Taylor Robson’s campaign, she has received endorsements from several law enforcement organizations, including the Tucson Police Officers Association and the Combined Law Enforcement Associations of Arizona. These groups assert that her platform is in alignment with their goals of supporting officers and community safety. They emphasize her “back the blue” pledge as a testament to her credibility on public safety issues.

USAFacts reports that in 2024, Arizona recorded 422 violent crimes and 1,792 property crimes per 100,000 residents, resulting in an overall rate of 2,214 offenses per 100,000 residents. Violent incidents were mainly aggravated assaults (74%), followed by robbery (15.3%), rape (9.5%), and murder (1.2%). Property crime statistics were led by larceny-theft (74.2%), followed by motor vehicle theft (13.6%) and burglary (12.2%).

Reuters cites the FBI’s 2024 report noting that assaults on law enforcement reached a decade high with 85,730 officers assaulted nationwide. Sixty-four officers were feloniously killed, with firearms accounting for 46 of these deaths. The data reflect submissions from 16,675 agencies covering approximately 86% of the U.S. population, highlighting ongoing risks faced by frontline officers and underscoring the need for robust training and equipment.

Taylor Robson is a business executive and attorney who previously served on the Arizona Board of Regents after being appointed by Governor Doug Ducey. She has significant connections to Arizona’s real estate and civic sectors. In February 2025, she launched her second gubernatorial campaign focusing on border security, economic issues, and public safety—positioning herself as a candidate with strong law-and-order priorities.
