Rep. Greg Stanton, U.S. Congressman from Arizona, has used his social media platform to address several policy issues, including the potential expiration of Affordable Care Act (ACA) tax credits and federal funding for housing services.
On December 11, 2025, Stanton warned about the looming expiration of tax credits that make ACA coverage affordable for many Americans. He stated, “In three weeks, critical tax credits that keep ACA coverage affordable are going to expire. If my Republican colleagues are serious about bringing down costs, they’ll help us extend these savings before it’s too late.”
Continuing his advocacy on December 12, 2025, Stanton addressed federal housing policies and their impact on Arizonans. He wrote, “The Trump Admin temporarily backed off plans to slash funding for housing services, but our fight isn’t over. I’ll stand up against any federal requirements that would force thousands of Arizonans back onto the streets.”
Later that same day, Stanton commented on economic strategies in response to high prices: “If your answer to high prices is ‘buy your kids fewer dolls and pencils,’ you’re not fixing the economy, you’re admitting you broke it.”
Stanton’s recent statements come after he secured re-election victories against Kelly Cooper in both 2022 and 2024. In the most recent contest in 2024, he won with 52.7% of the vote compared to Cooper’s 45.5%. In 2022, he prevailed with a margin of 56% to Cooper’s 43.1%.
