Rep. Greg Stanton, a U.S. Congressman who won re-election in 2024 and 2022 against Kelly Cooper, has recently posted a series of statements on social media addressing aviation safety, tariffs affecting American manufacturing, and federal actions regarding SNAP benefits.

On November 7, 2025, Stanton commented on recent changes to flight operations at major airports: “In aviation, safety must always be the highest priority. The decision by Secretary Duffy to reduce flights at America’s 40 busiest airports is the right call for the safety of the flying public. Now it’s critical that Republicans and Democrats get together and reach a” (posted November 7, 2025).

Later that day, Stanton addressed economic concerns related to tariffs on manufacturing materials: “If we want Made in America, we can’t tariff the materials that make it possible. At @FALCOext in Chandler, each machine & sheet of aluminum arrives with an extra tax, & workers’ shifts have to be cut to make up the difference. I’m fighting to reign in these job-killing tariffs.” (posted November 7, 2025).

In another post on November 7, Stanton criticized former President Trump’s response to a court order concerning Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits: “Federal courts ordered Trump to pay full SNAP benefits for November. Instead of releasing funds for the millions of kids, veterans and families who rely on SNAP, he’s appealing the ruling. Unbelievably cruel.” (posted November 7, 2025).

Stanton has served as a representative following victories over Kelly Cooper in both the 2024 and 2022 general elections. In those contests he secured wins with margins of approximately seven percentage points or more.
