Rep. Greg Stanton, U.S. Congressman for Arizona’s 4th district, posted a series of updates on social media regarding recent legal and political developments as well as his ongoing engagement with airport workers in Phoenix.
On October 4, 2025, Stanton commented on a recent judicial decision by stating, “Today’s ruling made it clear: Birthright citizenship is constitutionally protected.”
The following day, October 5, he shared his appreciation for airport staff at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport. Stanton wrote, “Dropped by @PHXSkyHarbor Airport with cookies and coffee to say thanks to the folks helping keep the airport running. From TSA and air traffic controllers to ground crews and custodians, thank you all for keeping Sky Harbor open, moving, and safe for travelers.”
On October 6, Stanton reported visiting the airport alongside Rep. Yassamin Ansari and Mayor Kate Gallego to observe frontline workers during an ongoing government shutdown. He stated, “I visited Sky Harbor Airport with @RepYassAnsari and @MayorGallego to check on frontline crews keeping travel safe while the Republican shutdown drags on. We are committed to negotiating a deal on health care that will end this shutdown so these employees don’t need to work”.
Stanton has represented Arizona’s 4th district since defeating Kelly Cooper in both the 2022 and 2024 general elections. In 2024, he secured victory with 52.7% of the vote compared to Cooper’s 45.5%. Two years earlier in 2022, Stanton won with a margin of 56% over Cooper’s 43.1%.
