Rep. Greg Stanton, who represents Arizona’s 7th Congressional District, posted a series of updates on X addressing the status of congressional operations, ongoing developments in the Middle East, and concerns over health care affordability.
On October 3, 2025, Stanton commented on recent House proceedings: “Yesterday, the people of Arizona were promised representation next week. Now, Speaker Johnson backtracked again and said he’s keeping the House closed next week too. #AZ07 should not be stuck without federal support or a say in Congress any longer.”
The following day, October 4, 2025, Stanton addressed international issues in a post referencing the situation in Israel and Palestine: “This is a critical moment for Israel, the Palestinian people, and the region. The hostages who have been held for more than 700 days will finally be reunited with their families. A lasting peace that ends the suffering of the Palestinian people and frees them from Hamas’s rule”.
Later on October 4, he highlighted domestic policy priorities regarding health care costs: “Americans want to see Congress keep their health care affordable. The last thing people need right now is skyrocketing insurance prices. I’m committed to working across the aisle to keep costs down for families across the country.”
Stanton has represented Arizona’s 7th district after winning consecutive elections against Kelly Cooper—first in 2022 with 56% of the vote and again in 2024 with approximately 53% support.
