Rep. Greg Stanton, a U.S. Congressman from Arizona who secured re-election in both 2022 and 2024 against Kelly Cooper, has recently addressed several issues on his official Twitter account.

On January 17, 2026, Stanton criticized the current process for swearing in new Members of Congress, stating: “The Speaker shouldn’t get to choose if and when to swear in a Member of Congress. If your community elects you, you should be given the oath so you can get to work right away. That’s why I joined @Rep_Grijalva to introduce the No Delay in Representation Act.” This statement highlights his support for legislation aimed at ensuring prompt representation for elected officials.

Later that day, Stanton praised Arizona State University’s involvement in space exploration efforts: “From the East Valley to outer space. @ASU’s SPARCS telescope — built with help from 15 undergraduate students — launched on the @SpaceX Twilight mission this past week. This is what we mean when we say Arizona shoots for the stars! “ The tweet underscores local academic contributions to national scientific endeavors.

On January 18, 2026, Stanton commented on international military tensions related to U.S. policy toward Greenland: “Some of our closest allies are preparing their militaries in case we invade Greenland. There is nothing “strategic” about what Trump is doing by straining our relationships and risking a war in the Arctic.”

Stanton has represented Arizona since winning elections against Kelly Cooper in both 2022 and 2024; he received approximately 56% of the vote in 2022 and nearly 53% in 2024.
