Rep. Greg Stanton, a member of Congress from Arizona, has used his social media platform to address recent developments in congressional representation and community service events. In a series of posts dated October 7 and 8, 2025, Stanton commented on the delay in seating Adelita Grijalva in Congress and shared his participation in a local church celebration.
On October 7, Stanton wrote, “.@SpeakerJohnson has flip-flopped two times in the last week on swearing in Adelita Grijalva. Arizona deserves to be fully represented in Congress, and that’s why I’ve asked my Republican colleagues to help get her seated immediately. #TeamArizona https://t.co/9JAyNtzUrH https://t.co/x2ihOmAsbL”. Later that day, he posted a brief update: “Frustrating update: https://t.co/eMbFSDQDLP”.
On October 8, Stanton shifted focus to a community event, stating, “Honored to join my good friends Pastor Wesley Relf and First Lady Gwen Relf for a service celebrating 30 years leading Rehoboth Saints Center. Thank you for three decades of service and for putting your faith into action to support our neighbors in need. Here’s to many more https://t.co/gnyd4iSnP4”.
Stanton has represented Arizona in Congress since first winning election in 2018. He was re-elected in both 2022 and 2024, defeating Kelly Cooper each time. In the 2024 general election, Stanton received 52.7% of the vote compared to Cooper’s 45.5%. In the previous cycle, he won with 56% of the vote against Cooper’s 43.1%.
The recent posts reflect ongoing debates about congressional procedure and representation, as well as Stanton’s engagement with local community leaders.
