Rep. Greg Stanton, a member of the U.S. House of Representatives, posted a series of messages on November 2, 2025, addressing both cultural observances and ongoing political issues.

In his first post of the day, Stanton marked a significant cultural tradition by stating, “¡Feliz Día de los Muertos! Today we honor the lives and legacies of loved ones who remain with us in memory and spirit. “ (November 2, 2025).

Later that day, Stanton commented on a recent court decision regarding federal nutrition assistance funding. He wrote, “The Rhode Island District Court was clear in its decision Friday: It is illegal for Trump to withhold SNAP nutrition funding. Trump must obey the court order without delay to ensure the 900,000 Arizonans using SNAP get the nutrition assistance they need.” (November 2, 2025).

In another post addressing legislative activity in Congress, Stanton criticized Republican lawmakers for their absence from legislative sessions. He stated, “Republicans have been MIA for over 6 weeks. They aren’t just stopping us from saving health care, they’re blocking progress on key bipartisan bills to set Farm & agriculture policy Highway & rail funding Flood insurance coverage @SpeakerJohnson must bring us back” (November 2, 2025).

Stanton has represented Arizona in Congress after winning re-election in both 2022 and 2024 against Kelly Cooper; he secured victory with approximately 56% of the vote in 2022 and about 53% in 2024.
