Rep. Greg Stanton, U.S. Congressman from Arizona, recently addressed issues ranging from law enforcement accountability to local economic developments and tributes to political figures in a series of posts on his official social media account.
On January 7, 2026, Stanton called for oversight of federal immigration authorities, stating, “I will be demanding full transparency and accountability. ICE agents should be held to the same high standards as members of any other law enforcement agency.”
Later that day, Stanton highlighted Mesa’s role in defense manufacturing following a significant military contract: “Mesa is the proud home of Apache helicopter manufacturing. This new $2.7B @USArmy contract means more good @BoeingDefense jobs building these cutting edge machines that help keep our troops safe overseas.” The announcement referenced ongoing efforts to support local industry and job creation through defense contracts.
On January 8, 2026, Stanton recognized the contributions of Steny Hoyer to American public life: “Steny Hoyer is a giant of American progress. For decades, he stood on the front lines for federal workers, civil rights, & working families — driving the ADA, strengthening Social Security & Medicare, & insisting ‘Make It In America’ meant real paychecks & real pride back home.”
Stanton has served multiple terms in Congress representing Arizona’s 4th congressional district. In recent elections—2024 and 2022—he defeated Kelly Cooper with margins of 52.7% to 45.5% and 56% to 43.1%, respectively.
