In one post published at 02:41 UTC, Stanton expressed support for protestors in Iran: “Americans are inspired by Iranians standing up and fighting for their freedom.”
Later that day at 17:06 UTC, he commented on the impact of federal policy changes on his constituents’ health coverage: “Sadly, 70,000 Arizonans have already lost their health insurance thanks to the GOP’s unwillingness to restore Affordable Care Act tax credits.”
At 18:50 UTC the same day, Stanton weighed in on Venezuelan politics and former President Donald Trump’s involvement abroad: “Instead of having Trump ‘run’ another country, we should be helping ensure Venezuelans can have a democratically elected leader as soon as possible. The will of the people is most important.”
Stanton has represented Arizona in Congress since first winning election against Kelly Cooper in both 2022 and 2024 general elections. In the most recent contest in 2024, he secured victory with approximately 52.7% of the vote compared to Cooper’s 45.5%. In the previous cycle in 2022, Stanton also defeated Cooper with a margin of about thirteen percentage points.
