Rep. Greg Stanton, U.S. Congressman for Arizona’s 4th district, used his social media platform on December 6, 2025, to address local sports, education policy, and preparations for the upcoming FIFA World Cup.
In his first post of the day, Stanton expressed support for a local high school football team: “It’s championship day for the @Chandler_Wolves. Good luck in your Open Division title game tonight — play your hearts out and bring it home. Go Wolves! https://t.co/vHIFMD57xu” (December 6, 2025).
Later that afternoon, Stanton marked Special Education Day with a call to action: “This week we marked Special Education Day — a chance to recognize the students, families, and educators who make our schools more inclusive and our communities stronger. We must increase funding for special education services so every child has the tools to learn.” (December 6, 2025).
In the evening, Stanton addressed preparations for the 2026 FIFA World Cup: “Ahead of 2026, I’m leading a bipartisan push calling on @FIFAWorldCup to adopt strong extreme-heat protections so players, coaches, and fans can enjoy outdoor matches without facing deadly heat. https://t.co/aVDYxzzPqa” (December 6, 2025).
Stanton has represented Arizona’s fourth congressional district since winning re-election in both 2022 and 2024 against Kelly Cooper; he secured victory in the most recent contest with approximately 52.7% of the vote.
