Rep. Greg Stanton, a U.S. Congressman representing Arizona’s 4th district since 2019, recently used his social media platform to address several policy issues, including marriage equality, Tribal housing reform, and U.S. foreign policy in the Middle East.On March 29, 2026, Stanton affirmed his stance on marriage rights by stating:

“Marriage equality is not up for debate. It’s the law of the land, and I’m fighting to keep it that way. Today I was proud to sign the Respect for Marriage AZ pledge at @PhoenixPrideAZ’s Rainbow Festival with @OneCommunityAZ.”

Addressing Tribal housing legislation on March 30, 2026, Stanton wrote:

“The federal law governing Tribal housing hasn’t been updated since 2008, which is outrageous and unacceptable. I’ve joined a bipartisan effort to modernize the law — cutting red tape, expanding financing, and giving Tribal Nations the tools to build the housing they need.”

Later that day, Stanton commented on U.S. involvement in international conflicts:

“Americans don’t want boots on the ground in the Middle East. We need smart, tough diplomacy to end this war and ensure Iran never develops a nuclear weapon.”

Stanton has represented Arizona’s 4th district since replacing Kyrsten Sinema in Congress in 2019. He has secured reelection victories against Kelly Cooper in both 2022 and 2024.

In those elections he won by margins of approximately 56% to 43% in 2022 and about 53% to 46% in 2024.

Born in Long Island in 1970 and now residing in Phoenix,

Stanton holds degrees from Marquette University (BA) and the University of Arizona (JD).
