Rep. Greg Stanton, a U.S. Congressman from Arizona who won re-election in both 2022 and 2024 against Kelly Cooper, posted several messages on social media addressing international recognition, health care access, and severe weather preparedness.
On October 10, 2025, Stanton publicly congratulated Maria Corina Machado for her Nobel Peace Prize win. He wrote, “Congratulations to @MariaCorinaYA on receiving the 2025 Nobel Peace Prize. For years, she has courageously confronted the Maduro regime and given voice to the Venezuelan people’s demands for the rule of law, a free press, and fair elections. Her fight against tyranny is an https://t.co/LmxugwgCYx” (October 10, 2025).
Later that evening, Stanton turned his attention to domestic policy with a call to action regarding health care: “Now is the time to protect Americans’ access to health care. We can’t afford to wait. https://t.co/ZOutgjiB2s” (October 10, 2025).
The following day, he addressed constituents about possible severe weather conditions expected in Arizona due to Hurricane Priscilla’s remnants: “This weekend, Arizona may get slammed with severe rain and flooding from the remnants of Hurricane Priscilla. Please watch the weather, monitor emergency alerts from @AzEIN & @MaricopaReady, and make a plan for your household with https://t.co/ZXX5q5oD7r (EN) or” (October 11, 2025).
Stanton’s recent statements come after his electoral victories over Kelly Cooper in both the 2022 and 2024 general elections. In these contests he secured wins by margins of roughly ten percentage points each time.
