Rep. Greg Stanton, a U.S. Congressman from Arizona, addressed several national issues in a series of posts on December 17, 2025, including the treatment of Senator Mark Kelly, legislative action on health care, and concerns about antisemitism and racism within the U.S. Coast Guard.

In a post made early in the day, Stanton criticized actions taken against Senator Mark Kelly, stating on December 17: “This political persecution of @SenMarkKelly is a national embarrassment and a modern-day Dreyfus Affair. The continued weaponization of our military will backfire against this administration.”

Later that afternoon, Stanton expressed appreciation for bipartisan cooperation regarding health care legislation. On December 17 he wrote: “Thank you to the four Republican Members of Congress who today made the right choice and signed the discharge petition. @RepBrianFitz @RepMikeLawler @RepBresnahan @RepMackenzie Now let’s get it done and save health care.”

That evening, Stanton commented on recent statements by the United States Coast Guard concerning incidents involving antisemitism and racism. On December 17 he posted: “Last month, the @USCG assured us this was not happening. Minimizing antisemitism and racism is incredibly dangerous. Do better.”

Stanton has served as a member of Congress since defeating Kelly Cooper in both the 2022 and 2024 general elections, winning with 56% of the vote in 2022 and increasing his margin to nearly 53% in 2024.
