Rep. Greg Stanton, a U.S. Congressman from Arizona, used his social media platform on November 6, 2025, to address several policy issues including international trade, health care access, and tax filing processes.

In a post published at 17:50 UTC, Stanton criticized former President Donald Trump’s trade policies. He stated, “Trump’s trade war isn’t just increasing costs for Americans, it’s driving our allies and adversaries into doing more business with China. Trump needs to stop isolating us from the world.”

Later that evening at 20:39 UTC, Stanton turned his attention to health care affordability. He wrote, “Preventive care shouldn’t be a luxury. Without insurance, many Americans choose to skip regular screenings that can catch cancer early when it’s most treatable. I’ll continue fighting to keep coverage affordable.”

At 23:33 UTC the same day, Stanton commented on changes to federal tax filing options for Arizona residents. He said, “Direct File made tax season easy and free for Arizonans. Ending it will only mean higher costs and more headaches for taxpayers. I’ll keep fighting to restore free, simple filing.”

Stanton has served as a congressional representative since first winning election in 2018. In both the 2022 and 2024 general elections he defeated Kelly Cooper—most recently securing victory by a margin of nearly seven percentage points.
In the 2024 general election, Stanton won with 52.7% of the vote compared to Cooper’s 45.5%. In the previous cycle in 2022, he also prevailed against Cooper with a margin of approximately thirteen percentage points.
