Rep. Greg Stanton, a member of the U.S. House of Representatives, shared several statements on his Twitter account addressing issues ranging from veterans’ rights to U.S.-Mexico relations and state policy collaboration.

On January 12, 2026, Stanton commented on recent events involving Mark Kelly and Pete Hegseth, stating, “Pete Hegseth is a bully, and Mark Kelly is doing exactly what you do to bullies — standing his ground and fighting back. Kelly’s fight isn’t just his own. It’s for every veteran who served this country, and for every American’s First Amendment rights.”

Later that day, Stanton addressed foreign policy concerns related to former President Donald Trump’s rhetoric about military action against Mexico. In his post dated January 12, 2026, he wrote: “Trump keeps threatening to unilaterally strike Mexico. Any such strikes would jeopardize our critical bilateral trade partnership. We can fight the cartels more effectively by working hand-in-hand with the Mexican government.”

On January 13, 2026, Stanton congratulated Arizona Governor Katie Hobbs following her State of the State address: “Congratulations on a strong State of the State, @GovernorHobbs! I look forward to continuing our work together to lower costs for Arizona families, grow our economy, and fight for our water at this critical time for the Colorado River.”

Stanton has represented Arizona in Congress since first winning election in 2018. He successfully defended his seat in both the 2022 and 2024 general elections against Kelly Cooper—winning by margins of 56% to 43.1% in 2022 and by 52.7% to 45.5% in 2024.
