Rep. Greg Stanton, U.S. Representative for Arizona’s 4th congressional district, addressed a range of issues in recent social media posts, including concerns over congressional representation during emergencies, well wishes for a prominent Arizonan, and the situation in the Middle East.
On October 9, 2025, Stanton posted about the lack of representation for Arizona’s 7th district amid looming natural disasters: “As Arizona braces for potentially deadly flooding, AZ-07 still doesn’t have a Representative in Congress. @SpeakerJohnson needs to swear her in now so she can advocate for the people of her district and coordinate with emergency management officials.”
Later that evening, on October 10, Stanton expressed support for Cindy McCain, U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Agencies for Food and Agriculture and head of the World Food Programme: “Keeping Cindy McCain in my prayers and wishing her a swift, full recovery. Grateful for her ongoing work at the WFP and the lives she touches every day. Arizona is with you, Cindy.”
On October 10, Stanton also referenced developments in the Middle East: “My statement on the ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas:”
Stanton has represented his district since winning election against Kelly Cooper in both 2022 and 2024. In 2024, he secured victory with 52.7% of the vote compared to Cooper’s 45.5%. In 2022, Stanton also defeated Cooper, earning 56% to Cooper’s 43.1%.
