Rep. Greg Stanton, U.S. Congressman for Arizona’s 4th district, recently addressed several issues on his social media account, including federal funding for law enforcement, recognition of local arts leadership, and the ongoing crisis of Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls.
On January 26, 2026, Stanton stated: “ICE is sitting on a $75 billion slush fund it can tap, whether or not Congress passes it’s annual funding bill. I’ve introduced legislation to redirect this money to local law enforcement, where it can be put to real use keeping communities safe.”
The following day, he highlighted the contributions of a key figure in Phoenix’s music community: “For 25 years, @psykosteve has lifted up local artists, packed rooms, and helped Phoenix’s music scene thrive. We partnered up on the #SaveOurStages Act during COVID, and it was a pleasure recognizing this milestone in the Congressional Record.” The #SaveOurStages Act was part of broader efforts during the COVID-19 pandemic to support independent venues and performers.
Later that same day, Stanton called attention to an unresolved case: “One year later, Emily Pike’s murder remains unsolved. Her family deserves answers and justice. This anniversary is a heartbreaking reminder of the ongoing crisis of Missing & Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls — a crisis that demands urgent federal action.” His remarks reflect continued concern over violence affecting Indigenous women and girls across the United States.
Stanton has represented Arizona’s 4th district since winning elections in both 2022 and 2024 against Kelly Cooper. In the most recent contest in 2024 he secured victory with approximately 52.7% of the vote compared to Cooper’s 45.5%. Two years earlier he won with a margin of 56% to Cooper’s 43.1%.
