Rep. Greg Stanton, U.S. Representative for Arizona’s 4th congressional district, addressed a range of topics in recent social media posts, including legislative priorities and national events.
On November 10, 2025, Stanton advocated for further protections against discrimination, stating, “Respect for Marriage was a start. Now let’s finish the job: pass the Equality Act so no one loses housing, a job, or service because of who they are or who they love.”
Later that day, he commemorated the anniversary of the United States Marine Corps with a message of gratitude: “Happy 250th birthday to the @USMC. To every Marine — and to the families who support them — thank you for your service, honor, and commitment to our country. Semper Fidelis. “ (November 10, 2025).
In another post on November 10, Stanton commented on ongoing political gridlock in Congress amid a government shutdown: “Congressional Republicans’ refusal to negotiate with Democrats is why the government shut down and why, more than 40 days later, it remains shut down.”
Stanton has held his seat since defeating Kelly Cooper in both the 2022 and 2024 general elections. In 2024 he secured victory with approximately 52.7% of the vote compared to Cooper’s 45.5%, while in 2022 he won with about 56% against Cooper’s 43.1%.
