Rep. Greg Stanton, U.S. Congressman from Arizona, posted several updates on his Twitter account on October 3, 2025, including comments about popular music and a call for congressional action regarding Southern Arizona’s representation.
In a post made at 4:00 a.m. UTC, Stanton congratulated Taylor Swift on her new album, writing: “Congrats @taylorswift13 on the new album! Tonight I pass the aux cord to the Swift Caucus in my household. I expect I’ll get it back in about six months.” Shortly after, at 4:00 a.m. UTC, he added another tweet referencing input from his staff: “My staff said this would be funny https://t.co/AoHK6iM1qM”
Later that day at 7:49 p.m. UTC, Stanton addressed delays in Congress related to Southern Arizona’s representation. He stated: “Another day, another delay from @SpeakerJohnson. Southern Arizona deserves a voice in Congress now, not just once it’s politically convenient for the House GOP. Administer the oath to Rep.-elect Adelita Grijalva now.”
Stanton has represented Arizona in Congress since first winning election against Kelly Cooper in 2022 with 56% of the vote and again defeating Cooper in 2024 with approximately 53% of the vote.
