Rep. Greg Stanton, U.S. Congressman from Arizona, recently used his social media platform to comment on a range of local and national issues in a series of posts dated October 20, 2025.

In one post, Stanton criticized Speaker Mike Johnson for attributing blame to Adelita Grijalva, writing on October 20: “How pathetic. Mike Johnson is now blaming Adelita Grijalva for not doing her job. Quit taking orders from Trump and swear her in now.”

Later that day, Stanton addressed concerns about former President Donald Trump’s influence on academic institutions, specifically mentioning Arizona State University (ASU). He stated on October 20: “Trump now wants @ASU to sign his compact policing education. Here’s my letter to ASU urging them to reject any offer that denigrates its academic freedoms and independence.”

In another post, Stanton congratulated an Arizona educator for professional recognition. On October 20 he wrote: “Congrats to Kyrene Traditional Academy’s Dr. Marianne Lescher from Chandler for being named this year’s @NAESP National Distinguished Principal in Arizona. Your work is making a difference for our kids. Thank you for all you do.”

Greg Stanton has represented Arizona in Congress since defeating Kelly Cooper in the general elections of both 2022 and 2024, securing victories with over half the vote each time.
