Rep. Greg Stanton, U.S. Congressman from Arizona, posted a series of updates on October 9, 2025, addressing health care affordability, U.S.-Taiwan relations, and constituent engagement through a virtual town hall.
In his first post of the day, Stanton emphasized the importance of accessible health care for American families. On October 9, 2025, he wrote: “No family should have to choose between a doctor’s visit or putting food on the table. I’m fighting to protect health care tax credits to keep coverage up and costs down across the country.”
Later that afternoon, Stanton highlighted his participation in Taiwan’s 114th National Day celebration alongside TECRO USA’s Representative Yui. As Co-Chair of the Taiwan Caucus, he reaffirmed his commitment to bilateral cooperation and democratic values. On October 9, 2025, he stated: “I was proud to celebrate Taiwan’s 114th National Day yesterday with @TECRO_USA’s Rep. Yui. As Co-Chair of the Taiwan Caucus, I’ll continue working to strengthen our partnership and defend our shared commitment to democracy, human rights, and the rule of law.”
In the evening, Stanton invited constituents to participate in a Tele-Town Hall focused on health care and the implications of a government shutdown. On October 9, 2025, he announced: “Tonight I’m holding a Tele-Town Hall at 5:30 AZ time — you can dial in to join us at 833-479-1991 or watch live at https://t.co/1kp2EEDC4j. I look forward to answering your questions about the health care coverage cliff and what the government shutdown means for you.”
Stanton has a record of electoral success in Arizona. In 2024, he defeated Kelly Cooper in the general election with 52.7% of the vote compared to Cooper’s 45.5%. In the previous cycle in 2022, Stanton also won against Cooper with 56% of the vote.
